Research Based, Evidence Based Curriculum
The curriculum is based on research and best practices and aligned to the Common Core, but it has not been independently studied or verified, nor have I ever gathered the research on which it's based into one place. We have done our best to design the curriculum without bias, stereotypes, or discrimination with the goal of helping students access grade-level skills and content across all 4 language domains in an engaging way.

Being research-based also depends a lot on the methods the teacher uses in the classroom. The materials are just tools that can be used in a wide variety of ways. This is why I've connected a growing list of research-based activities from top experts in the field and connected them to the different resources.
