Time / Pacing of Curriculum Lessons

Timing depends a lot on your situation, students, and needs. Some teachers do each lesson in about 20-30 minutes. Others with more time can take their time a bit more and spend up to an hour or so per lesson.

At the school where we designed and tested the curriculum, as a reference, we did the following:

  • We had the students in pull-out classes two days a week for about 4.5 hours total.
  • Beginners 1 - Low-Intermediate 3: we did 1 unit a week - Every 4 units, we did a review week with assessments
  • Low-Intermediate 4 - Intermediate 2: we did 1 unit every two weeks - Every 2 units, we did a review week with assessments
  • Intermediate 3 and up: we did 1 unit every 4-5 weeks - After every unit, we did a review week with assessments
